Dragana Jurišić is a photographer and writer who exhibited extensively and won many awards, including the Golden Fleece Special Recognition Award, IMMA 1000 Award, Dorothea Lange – Paul Taylor Prize, etc. Her work is in a number of significant collections including the National Gallery of Ireland, Arts Council Collection and OPW. Dragana's first book, YU: The Lost Country (2015) received accolades worldwide. It was described in The Guardian as "a haunted, as well as haunting book; the fallout of the past buried, rather than faced." Her second book - Her Own, published in December 2022, received outstanding reviews in El Pais (“A powerful narrative that intertwines the history of women from different eras, whose stories were silenced for different reasons”), The Irish Times (“compelling” and “direct yet poetic”), RTÉ Culture (“physically and texturally exquisite book, like a Bible”) and Photomonitor (“standout” and a “poised brilliantly between the frankness and directness of so much of Jurišić writing”).
